Boot and shoe shine service dates back to the 18th century in France where shoe polish was first introduced. Customers clearly saw the value: 1. They wanted their boots and shoes to look new before an important event or meeting. 2. They wanted to protect their investment by making their boots/shoes to last longer. That said, many found that applying shoe polish could be difficult, time consuming, and messy. As a result, professional shoe shine stands first appeared in England in 1770 and quickly made their way to the United States. Over the years, these businesses thrived in train stations, malls, hotels, bars, street corners, barber shops, and airports. Songs like “Chattanooga Shoe Shine Boy” were even written about them. Once plentiful, it has become difficult to find providers of this dying art. Ricky’s Pro Shine is making this lost art available at your event and venue!
Thanks.
